EDUN LIVE :: NOW @ PULP LAB

Organic T-shirts and Cotton T-shirtsfrom EDUN LIVE, created by Ali Hewson and Bono

EDUN LIVE SUPPORTS VERTICAL INTEGRATION IN AFRICA WITH OUR 100% MADE IN AFRICA COMMITMENT

The survival of Africa’s apparel industry is a race against time. Today middlemen and traders export most of Africa’s cotton to other countries instead of processing it at home. This means that Africans are tasked with the hardest part—growing and harvesting the cotton—but they receive the least economic benefit. The real money is made in the rest of the manufacturing process. At the same time, factories where the shirts could be cut and sewn, in major cities such as Kampala in Uganda and Maseru in Lesotho, are left underutilized. By supporting the African apparel industry, we are creating employment and contributing to a solution. Buying an EDUN LIVE t-shirt helps Africans create their own self-sustaining economies.

Phytotherapy, Italian herbalism & 80's Soho

We've been searching for an organic, authentic body care line with artisan roots and we finally found it:Erbe Dermocosmetica

Erbe ("erbe" = "herb" in Italian) is an herb-based skin, body and hair care line made in Italy. Their philosophy and products have their origin in the work of 16th century Italian herbalists, physicians and herbalist monks from celebrated monasteries. Their comprehensive line of products was originally available only custom-made in local pharmacies and herb shops in Italy.

Erbe controls every aspect of resourcing & production, and are deeply involved in every aspect of production and packaging. They not only know which herbs are used, but often the region and even the fields where they were grown and harvested.

This small Italian skin care company develops products that are informed by the accumulation of information that has been researched, tested, improved over hundreds of years. Learn more >

Linda Loudermilk on STYLE.com :: Ozone Jean Production :: Water conservation

By katpaw · August 10, 2008 · 0 Comments · 2 Views

Linda Loudermilk Denim uses a corn-based fiber called Ingeo from Italy and sasawashi, a Japanese leaf that has antibacterial properties, in addition to bamboo and organic cotton blended with 1 percent spandex. Treatments were developed to be environmentally sustainable. The washhouse recycles its water; sandblasting is done by hand, and washing machines use ozone to oxidize jeans for a sun-baked look.
